Not so good with cookies
I bought this solely for cookies in case I need to do some shavings around the edges, etc. I didn’t want to use my current one because I don’t want the cookies to have any of the food smells. I used it and the handle is very nice. However, the grating area is not raised very high so it is harder to shave/grate anything. My current one is raised a bit higher and much easier and faster. I guess it’s probably personal preference but I prefer the higher/raised grates. Probably good for mainly lemons and limes only. Will have to return.

Great Zester!
This zester is great for zesting any citrus fruit. I had to zest 4 lemons the other day and it worked better than my old zester. It’s very sharp so you need to be careful, but it comes with a plastic guard to protect you by covering the blade parts. I highly recommend this!

Terrific zester. I used to use one of the sides of my box grater, and the zest went everywhere, I had a low yield of zest, and the grater was difficult to clean. This zester works great and it’s so easy to clean. It also comes with a great snap-on cover for when it is not in use.

It’s great for lemon or orange zesting but not for nutmeg. Used once to grate a nutmeg and noticed that it has dulled the grater and no longer zests lemons or oranges in that area of the grater

I like to hand clean and air dry my mine and I think it keeps the blades sharper by not exposing to harsh dishwasher detergents and heat. You could do either. I also like how it comes with a protective cover and is easy to take off and put on plus allows for air flow through the back so if you put it away and it’s still a bit wet it will continue to dry.

Great zester, good grater
This is the sharpest and most effective zester and grater I have ever used. It’s sturdy and well-made. The Little brush that’s included helps a lot with cleaning and saves my sponge. However, although it grates Parmesan cheese very well, it’s a little narrow for the task. I buy large triangular chunks of cheese. If I hold the end of the greater to the counter and move the cheese back and forth it wobbles a bit. If I hold the cheese down on the counter and move the greater back and forth with my other hand it works but it would be a lot more efficient if the tool was twice as wide. Protesting citrus, there’s nothing better.

A well made kitchen utensil
The hand grip is very ergonomic. It’s heavy duty & made to last for a long time. It can be held at an angle braced on the countertop over a bowl or saucer or it can be held over a pot or pan & grate directly into the dish as it’s cooking. It’s definitely more versatile than the 4 sided ones that are pyramid shaped. Very sharp & easy to clean. It even comes with a nylon brush to get out anything stuck in the blades. It’s easier to clean if you wash & rinse it as soon as you’re finished using it.

I was wrong
I was wrong about this item. I used it once and gave it a five star because I loved the color, feel and grating. But when I went to use it a second time it was no longer good! I know that is hard to believe but it is as if using it the first time flattened all of the edges so it could not be used again. I didn’t even know that was possible. I used it once to grate some nutmeg. The second time it wouldn’t even grate a lemon rind. I would not recommend this item at all. A rip off. I’m going to send it back for a refund.

I feel like a professional chef!
My wife and I have tried some of these home meal delivery kits and a number of their dishes call for lemon zest. My wife got me the grater/zester as a gift and it has worked perfectly. The little “blades” are nice and sharp and they easily zest the lemons. The handle is comfortable and the blade guard (for storage) is a very nice refinement because of the sharpness of the blades. The little brush helps remove any stuck on zest. I have not tried it as a cheese grater yet but I expect it will work as well as it did as a zester. I don’t know what my wife spent for this but I consider it definitely money well spent.

Happy with my Zester
I wanted to get a new zester for a long time. The handle is comfortable, good quality and I like the color. The sharpness of the grater makes a big difference, bc the zest from the nutmeg and lemon is much finer than from my previous zester. (So far I’ve only used it for nutmeg & lemon) The length of the zester is perfect, so you can zest 1/2 of the lemon in one swipe, and also place the zester securely over a bowl. It was easy to clean, it just rinsed off easily, so I didn’t need to use the cute little cleaning tool that came with it, yet.

So easy to use, quick results
I have been looking for something easier and more efficient to use than the little cocktail zester I’ve been using for years. I love the design of this zester and the fact that it works like a cheese grater.The quality is great, looks like a name brand product. The handle is a nice grippy material that is comfortable to hold. The end has similar material so the zester doesn’t budge while you are grating. I noticed that most of the shavings stayed on the back of the zester, so I scraped them off with a spoon and they easily came off.As with any grating product, I always worry about how easy it is to clean afterwards. Running the zester under the tap for a few seconds cleans almost all of the shavings off immediately. The few bits that were left came off easily running a sponge along the back, and with the grain of the zesting side.This is a great addition to my kitchen utensils and I am not going to shy away from recipes that call for zesting anymore!

Very useful grater & zester
I wish i had this as kitchen tool years ago. Front the first time I used it, grating was easy and very fine. So for ginger especially- which is hard to fine chop, this grater made it so easy, and quick to grate. Very impressed especially since i cook with ginger every week and i don’t necessary want the big chucks in my meals. The grater does a awesome job of giving me fine finished grated nuts, cheese, ginger, garlic, chocolate and other items that I don’t want to throw into a large chopper when i only need one of clove grated.The cleanup is easy and it also comes with a little cleaning brush that help to get any residuals out of the grater. Once you are done washing and its dry – you can place the cover to keep is in your kitchen drawer. I was also able to use the cover while grating which allowed me to grate my small ginger and garlic pieces without my fingers touching the grating surface. It provides safety for your hands when grating some pieces.Bottom line – easy to grate fine on even small pieces, easy to clean, small and compact, easy storage and safety with a cover.

I used this for the first time just the other day. It is so sharp that it grabs the fruit and zests a bit to deep. I’m sure that there is a learning curve for me and this is the reason for the 4 not a 5. Maybe if the small blades on it didn’t stick out so far??? I do like it though. It is a great value for the dollar and the small company had a nice little note included in the package. I would buy from them again.

Best Zester & Grater I ever owned!
This is a wonderful grater! It is comfortable to use and cleans up easily. I grated some aged Asiago cheese and it was extremely thin, light, and actually fluffy! It did a quick and perfect job. I have not tried it on lemons and limes yet, but I’m confident it will zest them with ease. I’m very pleased with this purchase!
