    Good product. Shipper leaves something to be desired.

    I bought this to see if it lived up to my childhood memory, and it doesn’t, really. It is good mustard, but I am still looking for that specific mustard taste I remember from my childhood visits to Germany. It’s expensive so I will probably but other products until I find the one I’m looking for. The shipper is still looking for this over a month after I’ve had it in my fridge. I don’t know what the problem is. I’ve sent several emails to say I have received it.

    What I remembered

    This mustard is what I remembered eating at outdoor bratwurst stands outside of Mannheim when I was stationed there in the army 65 years ago. Brings back nice memories: Sitting outside at a wooden table having a beer and eating a bratwurst. I always ordered, “Mit viel senf, bitte.”

    My brother brought some back from Germany when he was there on business. The flavor is the best and not comparable to anything we have in the US. Wish they sold it it in the States. TGF Amazon, where we can order it. It’s a family favorite.

    Best Mustard Ever (and that’s from someone who didn’t like mustard and now can’t live without it)!

    A coworker gave me a tube of this mustard as a gift from a trip she took to Germany. I fell in love and was so sad when the tube was gone thinking I would never have it again. Then I found it on Amazon and was elated when it was delivered, early and delicious as ever. Even if you are not a mustard lover, which I was not, this mustard will change your mind. Great kick and flavor addition to anything we barbecue! You will not regret this purchase! Delicious!

    The real deal in a larger package and from Germany too! Thomy mustard (senf) is the best there is. Just like it came from an imbiss stand. Goes perfectly with the From Germany bratwursts I buy at Lidl and or Aldi.Shipping was fast too.

    They could package it better

    I did not use the product yet. One of the tubes was banged up and it wasn’t sealed properly. I’m sure that it is fine but a little weird that the seal was already broken.

    Good German Mustard for Bratwurst

    Good but I feel like the Löwensenf is slightly better. Perfectly good though for Brats and Sauerkraut. German mustard and German Sauerkraut make all the difference!!!

    Great flavor…recommended to us by our favorite German food truck owners who come from Germany. The mustard is hot, but does not blow your mouth up. Great on brats! Fast delivery…came a day earlier than expected. Will be ordering this again!

    Just as I remembered.

    This was the mustard I grew up with in Germany as a kid back in the 80’s. We used it on everything from jumbo Pretzels, to Leberkässe & Leberwurst to Knackwurst & Bratwurst. We ate it with Weisswurst & Blutwurst. My mom even put it in Rouladen. I’ve been in the USA for a long time now and had forgotten about this brand of mustard until recently while strolling through here on Amazon. It has the right amount of bite & kick to spice up any food, yet a touch of sweetness that won’t cause you to pucker up like many other mustards out there. The cost is a little spendy compared to buying it over there, but Its worth every penny. I love it and makes me feel like home!

    VERY Scharf

    I enjoy this kind of mustard. It is authentic, and it is just what I had when I was in Germany. But realize that this mustard is very sharp (scharf), and it almost has a wasabi/horseradish nose burn. Make sure that is what you want if you are ordering this!

    I’m very disappointed!

    I’m a fan of this german mustard and the glass jar it comes in, as I am also a collector of the glass jar and especially bought it to enjoy it as a drinking glass and to add to my collection. Now today I received my mustard and it came in a completely different glass jar than the one pictured in the listing. It does not have the same shape and it has a seal with a cap to twist open, in other words the top of the jar is like a basic mason jar opening with a screw-top to twist the cap on and off instead of a smooth edge like a drinking glass. I’m very disappointed in that and unfortunately since it’s a food product I can’t return it, but I do hereby warn others who want to buy it for the same reason as me that they wouldn’t receive exactly what they ordered.

    Mustard leaked out of the jar.

    The flavor was great, what I expected for a German mustard. However, although the lid was on the jar, mustard had leaked out all over the jar.

    Arrived with the Seal Broken and punctured

    I’ve been to Germany many times and had this, Mustard. This tube arrived with the Seal broken and the dispensing end punctured. No apparent loss of product. But I wonder ?

    Darn Good Mustard

    This is some of the best mustard in Germany/Austria; however, sourcing it in the US is a pain. I was thrilled someone was offering it on Amazon. Bit pricey and took a while to get it, but the tubes were large & should last a few days. There are just certain dishes that can only taste good with this mustard. Will buy again. Just wished it didn’t take so long to ship. Local German deli has also had trouble getting this, so it must be related to Covid. Thank-you for fulfilling this order.

    Very good deli quality mustard.

    This mustard is much more flavorful than Heinz. The taste is not biting or bitter like typical American mustards. It spreads super smooth. It doesn’t stink like American mustards. Gr8 product. Taste great on sandwiches and hotdogs.

    Great German Senf!

    I love the “toothpaste” tubes of German mustard. They dispense perfectly on a brat or bretzel and store much better. There may be more expensive mustards but Thomy is one of the better and more recognizable brands. My wife like this mild version and I love the red spicier version.

    I love this mustard. I used to be able to buy it at my local commissary (military grocery store) – for about 2/3 the price here on Amazon – but supply chain issues caused problems. If you like spicy/hot mustard, this is the mustard for you: It packs a bit of a punch. I highly recommend this mustard!

    I love this mustard used to use it all the time in Germany and coming back to the states We always try to find it. The only thing I don’t like is that there is no seal on the tip when first opening it. this was the second time we ordered and they all were not sealed. the expiration date was also very close to purchase date.

    Great Swiss/German Mustard

    I have used this and their slightly sweeter product for 50 years. ‘I am dedicated’.When my parents (years ago) asked what they could bring me from their trips, I said, “Thomy”. Eventually they stopped traveling, and I was fortunate to find it when I started looking at some European Delis. My local deli a Polish one, has great sausages and other things, but their Thomy supplier STOPPED. OMG, sadness. Where to look? AMAZON. Days later, in my locker, mustard heaven.

    Mustard is awesome the packaging by some vendors is horrendous

    Love the mustard – if you know the product already there isn’t anything to say. For those not familiar with German mustards, they are thicker (less vinegar and more paste) than American mustard. Hence they can be dispensed from a tube that you can keep at room temp as the process of using it up doesn’t leave room for air to enter.Now the packaging by Tante Emma vendor is absolute junk. The cardboard box materiel was cheap and flimsy so the box arrives 1/2 crushed in the mail services getting it from Germany to Seattle in the USA. The tubes bounced around a lot in transit as the ends of the tubes were distorted and crushed from impacts. No leaks but could have been. See photo. Other vendors of this Thommy product have delivered produce much better packaged.

    Hole in tube!

    I ordered 3 tubes of this delicious mustard but noticed that his one has a hole and there is not way we are eating it. It’s not cheap but there is no way to return. I see others had the same issue. Wondering if the seller will make good on the bad ones. If not it will be the last time I order from them. Buyers beware.

    Not spicy

    I first tried this in Geneva. I love mustards including the hot and spicy variety. But also, the mild ones – if they have something to offer. And this one does. Smooth, almost creamy with a distinct flavor. The cost is a hurdle, but this stuff aint French’s, either.

    Awesome flavor

    A pilot friend of mine who was flying to Germany and back a lot let me try some and I was hooked. This stuff is a great condiment for all kinds of food items that need a little extra. It’s hard to describe but the heat doesn’t linger or last long like a pepper hot. It’s more akin to wasabi but a different heat. It dissipates…great flavor for knosh lunch, biscuits, sannich, brats, etc…

    Nothing quite like it

    If you’re thinking “what kind of nutjob pays this kind of premium for mustard???”, I don’t blame you. With that said, if you like mustard, and you try it, you’ll understand. For most applications, it doesn’t matter. For sausages, though, there’s nothing quite like it, and it’s well worth the cost.

    I really like this stuff. It has a more American mustard flavor but with just the right amount of sharpness that you would expect from a German mustard. It’s my go to when I don’t want a brown or heavy Dijon style mustard.

    Be Ready!

    The first time I had this was when I was stationed in Germany. I can recall just how good this was. I actually stumbled upon this one evening when I wa searching for mustards. I saw a picture of Thomy Mustard. I decided to take a chance and went ahead an ordered it. When it arrived I opened the box and yep, that’s the one. The biggest question at that time was would it taste like the mustard I experienced in Germany. We had brats on the grill that night. I put this mustard on my brat and WOW! Yes this was just that good and yes just as I remembered. It’s a hot mustard but not one that leaves you gulping down water or milk to neutralize the heat. It’s really worth your time to try this mustard out if you want to have a taste of real German mustard….

    Used to get tubes of this at world market and loved it. Unfortunately this tastes a little different to me than I remember, kind of like it was mixed differently. At least I get a drinking glass out of it!

    Great hot mustard!

    I’ve tried close to 20 different hot mustards and this is top 2 and easy to get. Tube works well to apply, but will go through it quickly. Good price and flavor is so much better than almost all others.

    Every time I’m in the EU I always come home with tubes of various mustards. In this case, I was glad to be able to purchase this online. The flavor is really fantastic. I wish they made larger tubes :-).
