I use this all the time.
Often s device such ad this finds its way to the back of my junk drawer, but I use this quite often. We love garlic but peeling it and chopping it can be time consuming. It works great. However if the piece is larger it may need to be cut on half first.

Rarely works well
I don’t get the results like in the movies about it get. If your garlic is anything but super-fresh, this thing will just make a mush that stays on the front of it. So crushing garlic with a jar would work about as well. Perhaps if really-fresh garlic is ALWAYS used, and maybe further it needs to be frozen, or at least refrigerated, then it would work. The people in the promo-vid got it to work . . . somehow. I do not recommend it.

Perfect garlic solution!
Love it! Easy to use, clean, so much better than a garlic press in every way.
DS –
Not so great
I thought I’d like this but I am disappointed. You have to push down really hard to mince the garlic. I’d rather go back to the hand strength, power grip kind.
dj adams –
Clumsy
It feels okay in my hands. That’s all the positives. The little green roller thing does not skin the garlic clove, so there is a lot of waste . I had to press down hard to make any progress. I washed the thing several times and the garlic still came out with grey streaks.
GMG –
It works
Green roller peels just fine, presser does a fair amount of cloves at a time… and that scraper is clutch! The scraper is the star for me, it works perfectly to get all the garlic off the press. Cleaning it is not the easiest, but any other garlic press will give you the same fits. So just go with this one and you’ll be happy you did. Remember, these types of things take a little practice to hone your technique; it’s not going to work perfectly the first few times until you get used to it.

Requires more pressure than you’d think to crush garlic.
It requires a lot of elbow grease to crush garlic . Much harder than the pictures indicate. Cleaning is kind of a pain too. But I’ve been putting it in the dishwasher after using the spray nozzle in the sink to do a preliminary wash. Still it sometimes comes out of the dishwasher with some holes still clogged.

I love this tool! I wish I had one sooner!
I was very skeptical about this before I bought it. I’ve been mincing garlic by hand for a very long time but decided to give it a try. This tool is fantastic! It perfectly minces garlic, and a large quantity at a time too! Very easy to clean, consistent garlic size, almost no waste. I wish I gave this a try sooner. It makes garlic heavy dish preparation, like pasta sauce and curries, a breeze!

Good Enough
I purchased this product because I have arthritis in my hands and thought it would be better than the traditional garlic press I have used for more than 40 years. I use a lot of garlic in my cooking. I was a bit disappointed since the device needs to be pressed down very hard to get the garlic to a minced state. Pressing down still hurts my hands and the garlic cloves do not get fully minced. There is still a chunk of garlic left that is too thin to mince. Also, it is not easy to scrape the garlic off the device, even with the included tool. My old garlic press still does the job better, although I will keep trying with this product. It is good enough for now.

Great for arthritic hands
Bought this several months ago after using hand presses for years, and I tried many. I always found them to be the same – pressing a lot of cloves at a time was difficult (if not impossible) and they all tended to flatten the cloves more than mince them (they were peeled first). I’d rearrange the clove, press again (sometimes multiple times) and generally finished off mincing the remainder with a knife. Cleaning them was always a pain. I use a lot of garlic and, with arthritic hands that are getting worse, pressing garlic would often leave my hands sore. This rocker allows me to mince multiple cloves at once and takes a fraction of the time it took using hand presses. I do usually scrape off the bottom at least once and mince the portion that didn’t fully mince the first time but, in the end, the garlic is minced and I don’t have to finish up with a knife. I’ll generally smash larger cloves with the back of a knife first as I’ve found larger ones take a bit more force for the initial crush. I do recommend rinsing or soaking it immediately after use as it makes cleaning easier but, should any garlic remain in the holes, a toothpick does the job. One of those gadgets I should have bought years ago.

Smashes garlic with little effort.
This does the job of crushing garlic into a paste. I don’t love the effort it takes to clean the grid. Consequently, this gadget spends most of its time in a drawer.

Garlic rocker
I have tried a few garlic presses and found they just compressed the garlic cloves (even when cut into small chunks) and the presses essentially never worked. This garlic rocker does a superior job of turning whole cloves of garlic into paste without much effort. This is Ine of my best kitchen tools ever.

Disappointing Performance: Vantic Garlic Press Fails to Deliver
I had high hopes for the Vantic Garlic Press Rocker – Stainless Steel Garlic Mincer Garlic Crusher, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. This garlic press turned out to be quite disappointing, as it failed to perform its primary function effectively. To my dismay, the press did not work as advertised. Instead of effectively mincing the garlic, it ended up just smashing it into a messy pulp. I was left with garlic pieces that were unevenly crushed, making it difficult to incorporate them into my recipes. In the end, I had to resort to using a knife to manually cut the garlic, which defeated the purpose of having a garlic press. On a positive note, the accompanying tube that claims to help peel the garlic worked surprisingly well. It effectively removed the skin from the garlic cloves, saving me some time and hassle. However, the overall poor performance of the press overshadowed this minor advantage. In conclusion, the Vantic Garlic Press Rocker falls short of expectations. It failed to properly mince garlic, forcing me to resort to alternative methods. While the accompanying tube worked well for peeling garlic, it was not enough to compensate for the ineffective performance of the press itself.

Easier for me than a garlic press
With a garlic press much of the garlic stays inside the press and is difficult to get into my dish. This rocker eliminates that problem as both sides are easily accessible. There is still a little loss in the tiny holes, but the same happens with a garlic press. It is easy to use, comes with its own little scraper, though any table knife will work, and I have successfully used it on ginger root as well.

Not amazing, better than mincing garlic.
The little green sleeve does get the skin/peel off the garlic pretty well. The crusher part gets clogged up pretty easily after about 2 cloves. I find it easier to cut the cloves in half first before trying to crush. Also, cleaning can be a pain. Using a toothpick to pop through the clogged holes.

Do not like
It seems easy to use but you have to work more rocking back and forth on a surface, and then clean the surface and the rocker itself. I like innovative gadgets but better continue with my regular press.. one press and done.

Best garlic press ever!
This is the very best garlic press I’ve ever used. It is easy to use, and you get so much more minced garlic from it than you do from the traditional squeeze-type garlic presses. With the old type, you’d waste half the garlic clove and only get a tiny bit of minced garlic. This one presses practically the whole clove! And you can do one clove after another without having to scrap off the minced garlic after every “press.” When you’re finished, there is just a small film of garlic skin left that you have to scrap off with the included scraper. You also receive a silicone rolling tube that makes unpeeling the cloves simple and easy. If you’ve never tried this type of garlic press, you are missing out!!

This Works Much Better Than I Anticipated
I use fresh garlic all the time and this garlic press caught my attention. Due to mixed reviews, I wasn’t sure what to think but took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised–this garlic press works great! You do need to push it down firmly on top of the garlic and once it comes through the holes, you have all these uniform-sized pieces of garlic! It does leave a flat piece of garlic behind, but so does my regular garlic press. I found it very easy to clean by just holding it under the faucet. A winner for me!

Arthritis?? This will help you cook independently!!
Cool kitchen tool. Easy, comfortable, ergonomic grip, great for use by someone with arthritis like me. A little more difficult to release all the garlic from the crushing plate with the holes than I expected, but I think it will be much easier if I put a little olive oil on the crushing plate first, and make sure the olive oil gets into the holes in the plate.I also will try using a new toothbrush (in addition to olive oil) to help dislodge the remaining garlic, or whatever I am crushing, if necessary. It is still orders of magnitude better than the plastic “cup with holes and a flat smoosher piston” (OR worse yet, nasty pot metal that oxidizes, pits and tastes disgusting!!) tools I have used in the past!!!! I have happily discarded the worthless, junk pieces of old since I’ll be using my new crusher I got from your company. Thank you for providing a quality product!!!

Works really well. Especially the garlic peeler tube which is magic!
The media could not be loaded.
This is a real neat little gadget and super easy to use! My package came with a free gift of the garlic peeler tube and the scraper. First of all….I’m obsessed with that green garlic peeler thingy. I don’t know what it’s called but it works like magic!! I hate peeling garlic and I’ve stabbed myself under my nail so many times with The thicker peels that I gave up on fresh garlic and started using pre-peeled. But this little miracle made it so simple and efficient! The garlic mincer is of very good quality steel and plastic and has a good weight in my hand. I was very satisfied with how it works and will definitely use it more than my garlic grater (which I have accidentally grated my nail/ finger on one too many times). This is fuss free and safe!! Unless someone is a complete moron and smashes this on their hand repeatedly I don’t see how it could injure them lmao. Also comes with that tiny cute little garlic scraper which looks like an adorable little butter spreader. I don’t know if it’s dishwasher safe but to be on the safe side I hand washed all 3 things and they were pretty easy to clean. I wouldn’t recommend letting the crushed garlic dry on the garlic press because then you’re just making life harder for yourself. I just wiped it with a soapy sponge and rinsed it and it was good to go. You may have to put some pressure to rock the press if your garlic is a little older and drier (like mine was) but I think it’s easier to use than a regular garlic press.

It’s a fancy tool
Although this tool looks nice and looks durable, I need to press hard to get the garlic crushed. I barely use it. My fingers hurt with pressure due to arthritis. Sadly, I had to go back to using my old reliable wooden mortar or plain knife smack and chop.

Fabulous
I have seen this type for a while and just wanted to try it out despite having a good traditional style garlic press already. I love it and it is easier than the traditional style to actually crush/press the whole piece without having some large bits left over. Also the green silicone thing to peel the garlic is fabulous. It can be tricky to get the balance between enough pressure and too much (resulting in the garlic breaking, but I am getting more skilled at it every time I use it.

It takes some time to get used to it
I’ve had this for a few months and I now know how to make it work. I was really disappointed at first because it didn’t seem to work. The most important tip I can share is that you must use fresh garlic. If your garlic is a little old an rubbery, then go ahead and use your press or manually chop it. If your garlic is firm and fresh, this tool actually does a great job and leaves very little waste like the garlic press. You have to put some body weight behind it and rock and grind the tool to force the garlic through, but I have the hang of it now and it I like it! If you still have a lot of garlic on the underside of the tool that isn’t forced through the holes, then you aren’t pressing and grinding hard enough or your garlic isn’t fresh enough. I get practically zero waste when I use this tool now.Another note is if you want finely chopped garlic, chop it manually. This tool gives you slightly larger pellets of garlic, which are really nice for a lot of recipes. I still use my knife but this tool is definitely better than the press. As far as cleaning goes, it is simple. Hot water, soap, and rub with a wash cloth. It all comes out of the holes.

Something different
I have multiple garlic presses which I find better, but this one is useful because it does not take any squeeze power and the results are satisfactory. It came with a small rubber tube for cleaning the garlic skin but this material in this tube was too big and also flimsy compared to other tubes I have that are of heavier material and work better.

I had high hopes.
I had high hopes for this garlic press. I brushed off the reviews that said it didn’t work well. Most of those reviews seemed to indicate that they were just pressing down on the clove, not rocking. But, I can tell you that rocking or not rocking really isn’t the problem. I rock. (Ha!) And that works for one, maybe 2 cloves of garlic. However once you get a coating of garlic oil on the piece, the cloves just slide out from beneath the press. Very frustrating. And, it really takes a lot of effort / pressure to get the garlic through the holes, rocking or not. I had to do six cloves the other day and I was worn out after finishing them. There are a lot of similar presses on Amazon, and I chose the one that got the highest overall ratings, thinking they were at least manufactured in different facilities so could vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. I think they’re likely all made in one massive factory in China and it’s the luck of the draw whether one works better than another. My recommendation is to look for another type of garlic press. I know I am.

Every kitchen needs this
I bought this 2 months ago and I have to say that after multiple uses, the BIGGEST pro for this garlic mincer is how ergonomic it is for me. I love to cook and use a lot of garlic and I’ve tried many styles of garlic mincers and presses in the past. I work with my hands a lot and they tend to get stiff. This press is easy to use and doesn’t slide around like I thought it might just by looking at the design and understanding the physical chemistry of garlic. It also takes minimal pressure to press the garlic which is nice on the wrists. The steel is thick and durable and although it’s a little difficult to clean all the bits out with a sponge, a brush and water jets gets it right out. Also, the garlic peeler is the BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO GARLIC. I’m telling you, I’ve used all approaches to peeling garlic including the most obscure methods you see on social media… this tops it all. Just dont use it when it’s wet or it won’t work at all. Make sure it’s dry and use on a solid surface.I love this so much. I plan to get two more for my mother and my mother-in-law who both suffer with arthritis. This is the missing ingredient that every kitchen needs.

Mashed cloves, didn’t mince. Req’d lots of pressure to even get it to mash.
I was hopeful, so many people were pleased with theirs. Maybe I was sent a more cheaply made substitute? The unit did not mince. Or very little of a clove is minced. I had to exert a lot of downward pressure to get the fibrous clove to separate to avoid a single mashed contiguous lump.Other commenters responded to reviews similar to mine by suggesting the reviewer had poor strength etc. I’m not a weight lifter by any means but I work in light manufacturing and frequently need to perform tasks common to machine set ups, adjustments, maintenance and repair. Conveniently enough, I recently had my hand strength assessed. For women my age, dominant hand strength averages between 30 to 50 kg and mine was 80kg. Since this item is being sold to the consumer market and most cooking is still done by women, presumably the unit should be used comfortably by women with average hand strength. Etc.Oh, the little silicone tube for peeling – I didn’t really care about it either way and just wanted the mincer but I tried it out as a lot of reviewers just raved about it. It was a total bust. Didn’t work at all which was just as well. The bummer of it was that it ripped after 3 tries. I say bummer because by that point I could tell it wasn’t work out but had decided to recycle it as a cat toy -would have been perfect(!) for that once it had been left to marinate a bit in the catnip jar.

My dad’s favorite Christmas present. Sosl much garlic bread.
I bought this for my dad as a Christmas present. He’s 78 and usually impossible to shop for. Technology confuses him and he has tons of clothes (despite wearing the same three shirts in rotation). Of all the presents he received, this was the cheapest. But it was the one he was most excited by. As soon as we were done exchanging presents, he was in the kitchen washing it and testing it out. He now looks for excuses to make anything with garlic. I think we have a 6 block radius that is vampire proof.

Quick and easy to press garlic
This press works well. The most difficult part of using this press is getting it started without the clove popping out. That said, it isn’t difficult. Cleaning isn’t difficult either. A toothpick or brush makes it very quick and easy to clean.

It saves some time and makes the minced garlic more uniform. Easier to clean that mincer.
Takes more force than I expected and leaves a lot of the skin to finish cutting. Still, it saves some time and makes the minced garlic more uniform. Easier to clean that mincer.

“Blades” on the device do not seem sharp at all.
The garlic skinner works fantastically and is very simple. The garlic press rocker however requires a great deal of pressure in order to crush/press the garlic. I expected this to have some blades rather than just a dull surface. I feel like I am squishing the garlic as opposed to pressing it. Have to repeatedly roll over it, again and again, to get the garlic to come through the press… and thats fresh garlic.

Works pretty much as claimed
I like this garlic press. It is much easier to clean than the typical hinged presses where the garlic skin has to be dug out of one side. I like that it goes in the dishwasher, where the last remaining bits of garlic stuck in any holes usually comes out with no further effort. It is easy to use and I like that I can press 3 or 4 individual cloves and then add them all to my recipe at one time. Good product.

A great kitchen tool.
I bought this product to mash garlic cloves. I had been mincing them using a chef’s knife but garlic gets sticky and both the knife and my hands had to be continuously wetted. Then I bought a scraper at a craft show. Looks nice but didn’t would at all well and it cost 2X the cost of your tool and I still had to peel the clove carefully. When I saw your product I thought that is it. I bought it and it works great. I rough chop the garlic clove and then give it 4 or 5 passes with the garlic rocker and it’s mashed beautifully. Ordering was a breeze and delivery was practically immediate. It is a great designed product, sturdy, easy to clean. I really like it. It will get a lot of use in my household. The shin remover that you include with it makes the whole process quick and easy. Anyone who uses garlic should have one of these in their kitchen. You will not regret having it and will wonder how you ever got along without it.
Honest –
Not what I expected
It works for smashing more faster then single use squished and get more of garlic squished through.Flaw: does not easily rock and squish multiple; they will slip out.Resolution: hammer smash garlic to start to get stuck, then roll and squish
KATHYV –
Not what I expected.
I really wanted this device to work. I’ve tried this product twice so far and achieved the same results. It does not perform as videos have shown. I’d rather just cut and dice the garlic myself and achieve better results. The garlic in this device gets caught in the metal mesh. This device is not a time-saver or nor worth purchasing.

Peeler works perfectly. This press works better than my hand squeezer
I’ve have a hand held squeezer and this press. The squeezer was practically useless. This press only works one bulb at a time, pressing down exactly in the center of the press. Any more and there will be a bunch of slivers of garlic you can’t squeeze through to make minced garlic. Love the peeler.

Something new under the sun
I grew up with the old-fashioned “nutcracker-style” garlic press, where you put the clove into a small opening, and then crushed it by squeezing the two parts of the handle together to crush the garlic against a flat plate. It didn’t work well and I always hated it – I ended up mincing the garlic by hand instead. When I saw this new style advertised, I was very skeptical. I had a lot of worries: the cloves would pop out the sides while I was trying to push down on them, the press wouldn’t crush the garlic completely, it would take too much pressure to crush the cloves, and it would be so hard to clean that it wouldn’t be worth it. I was very pleasantly surprised on all counts. It’s easy to use, works pretty completely (there’s still a bit of uncrushed garlic at the end, but not much), and cleans up in flash. (Most remaining garlic bits flush out just by running water through it.) I did not believe it could work this well, but I’m completely converted. I use it every time I need garlic – and I’m a big garlic user!

Too difficult to use
The rocker needed too much pressure to mince/smash the garlic. It was much harder to use than the classic type of mincer. Maybe if the holes were sharper it would work more efficiently…?

GARLIC MONSTER!!!
Where has this thing been all my life? At least my “Married life”. OoO lol! I married a man that will put ‘Garlic Salt’ on Everything I make. EVERYTHING! I have tried to put fresh garlic in things, but I could never get enough. Old garlic presses, I have about 3 different ones in stashed away in drawers, that never worked right. Jarred garlic NEVER tasted as good. I was almost afraid to try this because I have RA in my hands and wrists and usually have swelling and pain. But, Wow! I was so excited to try it though. I read a lot of the reviews, and played around with it when it first arrived. Hubby no longer reaches for the Garlic Salt!I did find that sometimes when I was trying to rock it and the garlic kept ‘escaping’ if I sprinkled a little bit of salt down, that helped immensely. And it also had the effect of helping to sort of gather up the extra juice from the squashed garlic.Oh, I also don’t remember what I did with the little knife that came with this. I didn’t need it. I ended up always using a small sharp paring knife on the garlic and using that to scrape up the juice off my cutting mat too.The GARLIC HULLER, woah baby! That thing is weird looking, but oh does it work. I find myself Jamming 3-4 pieces of garlic in that tube and going to town squishing on it, then I start rolling over it with the press (I wonder if my husband will ever understand why there’s always so much more garlicky stuff made when he ticks me off?).
